Brenham House Cherry Dump Cake
- 1 lg can of crushed pineapple
- 1 can of cherry pie filling
- 1 box of yellow cake mix
- 2 sticks of butter, melted
- 1c. pecans, chopped
- 1c. shredded coconut
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×13 glass baking dish. Spread the pineapple evenly across the bottom of the baking dish. Layer the cherry pie filling carefully, without stirring. Layer the cake mix evenly over the pie filling. Sprinkle the pecans and coconut over the cake mix. Take the melted butter and pour over the cake. Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Take the cake out and let the cake cool off a little before adding the Blue Bell Ice Cream!
Brenham House Cherry Dump Cake is always a great go to recipe because it is so easy to make. It can be assembled and placed in the refrigerator overnight. The next day, just pull it out of the refrigerator and baked it off. I can tell you from experience that it is also good if you substitute the cherry pie filling with peach, apple, or blueberry pie filling, in this recipe.
