This 2015 Burton Cotton Gin Festival will be their 26th Annual Festival. This years’ 2015 Burton Cotton Gin Festival will take place Friday, April 17- Saturday, April 18th. Friday- April 17 the 2015 Burton Cotton Gin Festival kicks-off with an all you can eat shrimp boil! $30.00 per person. For $300.00 you can get a sponsor table which includes 8 tickets for the event. 6:00 p.m. the doors will open to the Burton Community Center and at 6:30 p.m. the all you can eat shrimp boil will be served. At 7:00 p.m. there will be a Live Auction which will be sponsored by the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. After the shrimp boil you can move over to the Whitehorse Tavern, in Burton, and enjoy the Burleson Country Trio.
Saturday- April 18 the festival will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last until 8:00 p.m. The day will start off with the Main Street Parade which will include Children’s Bicycle Parade! There will be family activities like bubble gum blowing, pie eating, seed pulling, Food Booths, Craft Booths, Children’s Barnyard, Tractor Pull, Tours of the historic 1914 Burton Farmers Cotton Gin, Tours of Wehring Shoe Shop, Live entertainment, Folk Life Demonstrations and Engine Exhibits.
Saturday’s entertainment at the 2015 Burton Cotton Gin Festival will be the Shiner Hobo Band from noon- 2:30 p.m., The Duka Brothers from 3-5 p.m., Windale German Singers from 5:30- 6:15 p.m., Hilltop Wranglers from 6:30- 7:15 p.m., and Allison Crowson from 7:15- 8:00 p.m. Don’t miss this years’ great fundraiser to keep this fine working museum going so everyone can learn and enjoy it.
